Myofascial Compression Techniques (MCT) are TriggerPoint’s revolutionary form of self myofascial release that systematically restore tissue elasticity and enhance fluidity and function, resulting in pain reduction, reduced risk of injury, and performance enhancement. MCT can be utilized with a wide array of clients from the weekend warrior to the advanced athlete.

MCT programming includes specific programming for general areas of the body, including the Ultimate 6+. These techniques can be used in conjunction with a movement assessment or based off of specific training protocols.

This course will take you through the Ultimate 6+ areas as defined by TriggerPoint. The Ultimate 6 are the six muscles (Soleus, Quadriceps, Psoas, Piriformis, Pectorals, Thoracic Spine) that have the greatest influence on biomechanics. By releasing these six keys muscles, your body can achieve structural integrity, thus creating a platform for optimal performance and injury prevention. This course also includes what are referred to as the “plus” areas. The plus categories (Calf, Soleus/Calf, Anterior Tibialis, Perononeus, Inner Quad / VMO, Latissimus Dorsi) also play a major role in movement and will add to the overall effectiveness of treating the body systematically.

Vibration training – biomechanical muscle stimulation
You will learn how mechanical vibrations activate almost all muscle fibres simultaneously via natural reflexes – in the legs, abdomen, buttocks, arms and torso. The training is efficient and easy on the joints, combining strength, flexibility, toning (including anti-cellulite) and stabilisation of the deep muscles along the spine.
We also explore how vibrations stimulate the metabolism and basal metabolic rate, thereby supporting weight management – with noticeable relaxation potential for your nervous system.

Contents & objectives:

  • Understanding how vibration works (reflexes, frequency, amplitude)
  • Safe exercise positions for whole-body effects
Programmes for strength building, mobility, body toning and regeneration
  • Contraindications & dosage for responsible practice
  • Mindful, effective, holistic – so that you can gently and efficiently guide people to their full potential.

Wellness power

  • Basics of Shiatsu: principles of traditional Japanese bodywork, meridians and energy flow (Ki).

  • Techniques: use of thumbs, palms, elbows and sometimes knees to apply pressure to specific points and meridians.
  • Treatment areas: mainly the back, shoulders, neck, head and arms – areas that are often tense in everyday life.
  • Energy balance: activation of the meridian system, promotion of vitality and relaxation.
  • Mindfulness & body awareness: learning to connect with the client’s breathing and body energy.

Abaris Massage & Shiatsu School, wellness training courses

Acupuncture massage (APM) combines thousands of years of Asian healing knowledge with modern scientific methods. Since acupuncture was officially recognised as a healing method, acupuncture massage has also been considered an established and well-founded treatment. Unlike acupuncture, which stimulates individual points with needles, APM works on the entire meridian. It has a regulating effect on the entire organism, supports the body’s self-healing powers and contributes to maintaining health. Its fast, profound and direct effect is particularly appreciated. An essential component is precise diagnosis via the ear, which often enables rapid and targeted treatment.

Course content

  • Fundamentals of energy theory and principles of meridian treatment
  • Teaching the course of all meridians and their toning
  • Energy harmonisation through tension-balancing massage according to the principle of yin and yang – including SAM ventral, SAM dorsal, lateral displacement and small circulation.

Segment massage originated from connective tissue massage and affects both the musculoskeletal system and the internal organs. A special palpation examination allows changes on the body surface to be detected and interpreted.

A segment describes a clearly defined area of the body that is supplied by a specific spinal nerve and in which the skin, muscles, vessels and internal organs are connected. Using targeted massage techniques, segment massage helps to improve nerve function within this segment.

All organ systems, muscles and joints are reflected in the feet. This means that they can be specifically influenced using foot reflexology. Special techniques are used to stimulate the body to independently compensate for functional disorders in individual organs, whether these are hyperfunction or hypofunction. This method is considered very effective because it not only has a regulating effect on the body, but also provides deep relaxation for the mind and new energy for the entire organism.

Contents of the training:

  • Overview of the development and history of foot reflexology
  • Essential basics of topographical and physiological anatomy (relative positions of the organs)
  • Presentation of the reflex zones on the foot and their effects
  • Indications and possible contraindications
  • Techniques and sequence of a complete treatment
  • Discussion of clinical pictures with symptoms, causes and corresponding treatment options
  • Explanation of important physiological relationships in the body.

Foot reflexology is based on a clearly structured treatment concept in which targeted manual impulses are applied to the feet. This addresses the so-called reflex zones – specific areas that can have a positive effect on numerous complaints. As a regulative form of therapy, it supports the body’s own regulatory mechanisms and helps to balance internal imbalances.

Compared to other reflexive methods, working on the feet has proven to be particularly effective in practice.

She is authorised to use the professional titles of spa therapist and therapeutic masseur, and, based on this certificate, to perform activities relating to the application of thermotherapy, hydrotherapy, and balneotherapy, as well as therapeutic massage to a limited extent.
The term ‘state-certified massage therapist and spa therapist’ refers to an outdated professional title from 2002 in Austria, which is now known as ‘medical massage therapist’ and ‘massage therapist’. These professions work on medical instruction and include the performance of massages, baths, heat applications and other physical therapies for the healing and alleviation of complaints, whereby they apply these measures on their own responsibility.
Balneotherapy (alternating, cold and warm baths, combined effects of mechanical and thermal factors, etc.) and hydrotherapy (hydrotherapeutic procedures and their effects, underwater pressure jet massage). They are all used to support the body’s self-healing powers.

Professional show dancer in 13 countries

My career as a show dancer has given me much more than just stage experience. Over many years, I had the opportunity to perform on international stages and learn what it means to harmonise body, expression and presence.

During this time, I not only rehearsed and presented choreographies, but also:

  • Trained precision, technique and endurance at the highest level
  • Refined the power of expression and body language learned to convey emotions through movement
  • Developed team spirit, discipline and adaptability
  • Used creativity and improvisation as artistic tools.

Through dance, I have learned that movement is a powerful form of creative expression – and how liberating it is to feel alive through movement.
